# Static texts

### Manage global text strings that are used across the site.

Static texts are text strings that are not edited from a specific page, block, or module item. They are used for repeated interface labels, shared messages, or text that belongs to a design rather than to a single content section.

Examples of static texts include button labels, form labels, layer texts, common messages, or reusable text fragments used in designs.

## Edit static texts

Open **Settings → Static texts** to review and edit existing static texts. Select the reference language and the language you want to edit. Only the texts translated into the selected language will be displayed on the website.

## Create a static text

You can create a new static text by adding a custom key. The key is used by designs to reference that text, so choose a clear and stable name.

|| Once a static text key has been created, it cannot be modified. If the key is wrong, create a new one.

## Use static texts in designs

Static texts can be used inside designs through global data.

Use this structure:

```
{{global.static-texts.common.booking}}
{{global.static-texts.custom.your-key}}
```

This lets a design display a reusable text string that can be managed and translated from **Static texts**.
