Buttons and links
Manage buttons and links from the fields that control each clickable element.
Buttons, text links, image links, and clickable cards are usually controlled by a link field. The design decides how that link is displayed on the website.
Link fields
A link field can include the visible link text, the destination, the opening behavior, tooltip text, and an ARIA label. Depending on the design, the same link field may appear as a button, a text link, a clickable image, or a full clickable card.
Link destinations
A link can point to different types of destinations, such as an internal page, external URL, document link, anchor, phone number, email address, or booking link. Document links are used when a button or link should open a file from Media.
Review links by language
On multilingual sites, review the link text, tooltip, ARIA label, and destination for each language when needed.
