Use Google Tag Manager for custom integrations

Use Google Tag Manager to add custom tracking and third-party tags.

Google Tag Manager lets you manage tracking scripts and marketing tags without adding each script directly to the site code. Use it when you need to add services that do not have a native integration, or when your marketing or analytics team manages tags from Google Tag Manager.

Connect Google Tag Manager

Open Settings → Integrations and select Google Tag Manager.
Enter the Container ID provided by Google Tag Manager. If your setup uses a custom data layer name, enter it in the Data layer name field.
After saving the integration, the container will be loaded on the site.

Manage tags in Google Tag Manager

The platform loads the Google Tag Manager container. Tags, triggers, variables, consent behavior, and debugging are managed from Google Tag Manager itself. You can use Google Tag Manager for tools such as analytics, conversion tracking, remarketing pixels, heatmaps, chat tools, advertising tags, or other third-party scripts.

Review before publishing

Use Google Tag Manager preview mode to test your tags before publishing changes in Google Tag Manager. Also check that the same script is not already added through a native integration or custom code.

Google Tag Manager can affect tracking, consent behavior, and performance. Keep the container clean and avoid loading duplicate scripts.
